If you're ready to leave a world of snapshots and mall photos and enter a world where your photographs show the essential “you”; whether that is who you are to the world every day, who you are at night or who you sometimes dream to be, then you are in the right place.

I photograph people on location; in the environment that best suits the outcome. Where we shoot depends on your goal. If a portrait of you should include your everyday surroundings or a special place that helps define you, then that’s where it can be best accomplished. I make house calls, or can meet you in the place for the right shot. I don't typically shoot in the studio anymore, be arranged as well at an additional cost.

If you want a personal portrait, an image captured by someone who will pay attention to you and portray you in an interesting and unique way, then look no further. Please take a look at my work, choose the looks you want and get in touch.

Regards,
Jay Foley

I shot my first photograph about 30 years ago, and I’ve been shooting on and off ever since. A few years ago I decide to refocus my creative energy and started working with people and including more studio work. Now I've left the studio and shoot on location.

It isn’t my “day job”, which helps my clients. Since I am not currently dependent on photography to make a living, I can price my work more affordably.

Working with with someone to create images that they are proud of gives me a sense of accomplishment. It’s the “people side of the business” that keeps me shooting thousands of frames per year.

I have with three teenage daughters, a BS in Business, and I work for a non-profit. I founded the RiversEdge Photographic Society (REPS), and co-founded the North East Small Office Home Office Business Network. I am a member of the Newburyport Art Association, and sometimes compete and show my work there.
